Bernina Brand Ambassador

Bernina Brand Ambassador ! Yes, lucky me ! I also get the opportunity to write about my sewing and quilting experiences on the Bernina Corporate blog at http://blog.bernina.com/en/. How awesome is that ?!



In my younger days, I thought I could be a model. But my body rebelled and wouldn't budge beyond 'petite' at 5 feet nothing !  So my runway dreams had to run away. I did consider toothpaste ads, heh heh, but didn't really pursue. The Universe now gives me a second chance. Or is it the first? I am now a model, of sorts, putting it loosely, for no less than a World Leading brand, the awesome Bernina !  Ha, body, take that !!

The writing will put me on an international platform and get me one step closer to the book I've been thinking/dreaming of writing I guess. Speaking of which, remember the Warli quilt I presented to the Bernina owner and chairman, Mr.Ueltschi during his visit to India?



I did a small tute which got published in two prestigious publications ! Might as well do all the gloating in one post, so here are the pics..

A wish, a gift, and a song

Its my bloggy birthday, so first of all, happy birthday to me!

As a gift from the Universe, I got to be featured in a mag !

And since I still havent been able to replace my dog-chewed-chord, no quilty post yet. Just another song thats playing on loop instead..

In the news

Well, not really really.

The Chennai Crafters' event 'Urban Hands' was well received and I had my two seconds of fame as well. This was in the Chennai edition of 'The Hindu' :

Oh well, another thing off the bucket list..getting quoted in a national daily !

And this time for real !!

Carol, of Happy Turtle, has another wonderful blog called Quilting in India, on which she documents, well, Quilting in India. She has recently started a series called 'Quilter spotlight' on which she interviews Indian quilters and it was my honour and pleasure to be 'subjected' to her questions :-).

To make things even better, my mini landed up gracing the posters of The India Modern Quilt Guild (IMQG), thanks to Shruti and Vidya !

IMQG is holding its first ever meet from 19th to 22nd of this month and all us Indian Quilters are very very excited!! Very.

I was Featured !

Well, not really, but it makes for good copy, right? :-) It was more of a mention on my Dutch fellow-quilter-blogger's blog. And it was more a feature on the BuDa workshop, than me :-).
